The Dorchester needs no introduction (if it doesn't sound familiar, you're probably in the wrong place…) and so we'll spare you the blow-by-blow description of all that's great and good about the London grand dame. Instead, we'll skip straight to the upscale New York-inspired grill fare.

Though the less formal of the three in-hotel restaurants, The Grill maintains an air of prestige that's naturally attached to dining at The Dorchester. The recently redesigned dining room exudes elegance and is hung with a hand-blown Murano glass chandelier that reflects onto its gilded walls, casting shadows across the butter-soft leather chairs. The flawless design paired with a no-nonsense menu and top notch service makes The Grill an excellent place to slow down and dress up.

Start things off with fresh crab meat on toast followed by melt-in-the-mouth beef tournedos. Or, if you're fortunate enough to be dining with someone who doesn't think of 'sharing' as a dirty word, opt for the whole Dover sole and get stuck in. End on a higher note still with your pick of what must be the world's best soufflé collection before waltzing on over to the marble topped bar to work your way through the stand-up list of classic libations.
