Gone are the days of defending men's fashion; the constant seeking of approval is all but a distant memory and menswear is no longer considered inferior to its female counterpart . Menswear has had it's moment and come through the other side stronger than ever. One of the greatest catalysts in the prominence of mens fashion has undoubtedly been London Collections: Men.
Now in it's fifth season, LCM has gone from strength to strength and this June sees an impressive lineup of on-schedule shows and presentations with a smattering of new big-name additions in the form of DKNY, Moschino and Jimmy Choo's first on catwalk show.
It's no secret that there's more to fashion week than the catwalks and presentations. There's a decidedly wilder side to the goings on - that of the hectic and frequently clashing nightly events. This season brings about some exciting offerings from a winning selection of brands and publications; some of the standouts so far are the One For The Boys Charity Ball hosted by Samuel L Jackson, SIBLING & LOVE on the roof at Selfridges and naturally, The GQ LCM Dinner.
