The idea of a secret bar inspires few of us. All too often this concept is applied to a poorly signposted ‘speakeasy’ in an attempt to add interest. But wait, what’s this? A truly great bar that’s indisputably tough to find? Enter Experimental Cocktail Club. Tucked away among the oriental diners, the contrast between the club's interior and the fast-paced streets of Chinatown could not be greater. London’s Experimental Cocktail Club borrows greatly from the aesthetics of its Parisian counterpart with opulent fabrics, mismatched chairs and mirrors galore.
Drinks here live up to the establishments name and the affable staff are keen to pass on their knowledge. Shelf upon shelf of spirits adorn the bar but plump for a Havana and you won’t be disappointed.
Best seat in the house: As close to the bar as you can get – why not take advantage of the mixologist’s vast knowledge?
Dress code: Smart, smart and more smart.
